Custom forms! You absolutely need these when shipping packages overseas. You can find them at your local post office, or in the military kit. You need one (custom form) for every box you send (EX: 4 boxes, 4 custom forms)
This is how I personally filled out my custom forms when my husband was deployed, I hope it helps.
Here we go!
➡️From: your information, (name, address, state, zip code etc. I leave "business"blank)
➡️To: Service members information ( I usually leave the "business" part blank here too.. write unit in the "address" section. For the "city" section you write APO or FPO, should say in the address your service member gives you. 👍in the "state" section you write either AE/AP/AA should also be in the address you're given. Leave "Country" BLANK! )
➡️"Description of items:" I NEVER detail this lol and NO you do not have to have only have 4 items in your package. People handling the package just need to have an idea of what's inside the box. When I sent my husband food I only ever wrote "snacks" with the amount of $10, Qty. 3. My post office usually filled out "weight" for me. 😁 Some post offices do things differently and may require you to be more detailed, or to fill out the weight. I'd suggest just guessing on the weight, and list cheap items for the description items 😊(chips, sunflower seeds, tooth brush etc.) ➡️"Check One:" ✅Gift✅ ➡️"If non-deliverable": ✅return to sender✅ ➡️LASTLY, Sign & Date ♥️🎉

RECENT CUSTOM FORM QUESTIONS
- Do I have to include rank in the name?
I never did, but then again my husbands last name is very unique.
I would ask your service member if it's necessary.
- I shipped a care package without a custom form, I didn't know you needed one. Do you think they'll ship it back?
You don't need to send your box with a custom form if you're shipping within the states. You'll be okay if you did ship it to within the US. :)
- Are you allowed to write "Red Bull" on the custom forms? I've heard both yes and no and I'm confused!
That all depends on you. I would suggest you don't, just incase a post office employer tries to tell you can't send your care package even though a million of us have always shipped energy drinks & sodas.
